Questions I should have asked you earlier... this looks a lot like you are trying to run a 32 bit fd on a 64 bit windows system with those VSS failures. Is that the case? If so, you probably aren't using Exchange 2003, and I'm pretty sure that the plugin doesn't work on anything newer.
