The use-case for the RDX is that you will (typically) have one bay, always connected to the host computer, and the magazines are removable. So there is typically never a scenario when all the RDX magazines are all plugged in at the same time.

This, of course, is where the Bacula + eSATA + cryptoLUKS + autofs + vchanger 
combination really shines.

But with RDX instead of eSATA, due to the scenario I described previously, there will need to be some manual interventions when changing RDX magazines.
