Oh sorry, for a while I was under the impression that you didn't want
to be offensive.

I guess in the abstract I actually agree with you, and very strongly
believe that sometimes when the prophets come with the truth, it
sometimes implies some very difficult things for the society. In the
past people like John the Baptist or Hussain, in more modern times
people like Martin Luther King, Gandhi, Malcolm X and others were not
allowed to live because they were dangerous for the powers that be.

But then there is the question of whether we should put ourselves in
the same category. And do we have a right to be rude, even if we think
we are right?

There is an interesting story along those lines. In the Quran when it
describes Moses (one of God's prophets) speaking to Pharaoh (one of
the worst sinners) even so, it says that Moses spoke to Pharaoh mildly
and softly. And so later on when a Muslim ruler was harshly reproved
for certain misdeeds happening under his reign, he said "I am not as
bad as Pharaoh was, and you are not as good as Moses was. And even so,
Moses spoke to Pharaoh more gently than you are now."

Peace

Gilberto
