The Baha'i Studies Listserv adib, thank you. thank u much. the beloved Guardian commented o, maybe 70 years ago about mass communication, arts empowerment, etc. he likewise, more than once, used the term "audacious" in respect to what is required. as much as i would enjoy spending an hour not going tru a door before you, and should be citing hafez or something, lemme roll right into it... with all due respect, that's not "how it works". the creation of a channel, while very viable for keeping things out, does less to be outward facing. and talking heads are like so last century.. a more workable effort could be built by increasing the number of members of the Faith with youtube accounts, and meaningful playlists, that exposure to more and more people of things like the mona vid, already there, undermining the intellectually propagated view, noted here a few days ago, that members of the Faith are being treated with "fairness". since your concern appears to be centred around "defense" it needs be aimed at "attackers", and thus farsi and arabic speakers would e perhaps most useful in a first effort, since that seems to be how the Bab and Baha'u'llah laid out the Game Plan. i note that the number of youtube videos which are endorsed by members of the Faith that subtly attack the principles of the Faith is already an issue, thus demonstrating the wisdom of hikmat. if i had a contract for such, i'd be thinking about some videos showing Moslems being devoured out of their houses by arabic speaking termites who told the Moslems that as long as they were allowed to wear clothes, there was no boundary violation, and their lives had not been interfered with. i'd have the hero of the story named rostam. and have him bounce thru 3 minutes of doors being slammed in his face because the termites ate his papers, and ate the foundation of his home. and while i have >>>no idea at allll<<< what this guy's flow is, such a "defense" mounted against the attack would >sound< like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWH-iTpClSg&feature=related maybe a shot or 12 done in photoshop of http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/03/Cyrus_cilinder.jpg being attacked by the arabic speaking termites. and then do whatever it took to have that video get linked into evvvery farsi speaking facebook page possible, while the current government is making fb accessible. there's never a reason to argue with termites. there may be reasons to identify them as such. and again, i thank you, and instead of hafez, i offer:
I hitched a ride with a vending machine repair man He says he's been down this road more than twice He was high on intellectualism I've never been there but the brochure looks nice Jump in, let's go Lay back, enjoy the show Everybody gets high, everybody gets low, These are the days when anything goes Everyday is a winding road I get a little bit closer Everyday is a faded sign I get a little bit closer ... and again, thank you. __________________________________________________ You are subscribed to Baha'i Studies as: mailto:arch...@mail-archive.com Unsubscribe: send a blank email to mailto:leave-426052-274...@list.jccc.edu Subscribe: send subscribe bahai-st in the message body to ly...@list.jccc.edu Or subscribe: http://list.jccc.edu:8080/read/all_forums/subscribe?name=bahai-st Baha'i Studies is available through the following: Mail - mailto:bahai-st@list.jccc.edu Web - http://list.jccc.edu:8080/read/?forum=bahai-st News (on-campus only) - news://list.jccc.edu/bahai-st Old Public - http://www.mail-archive.com/bahai...@list.jccc.net New Public - http://www.mail-archive.com/bahai-st@list.jccc.edu
