My Grandparents homesteaded 1/2 mile east of the Belden store (in section 14). I recall my Dad stopping by the old store once, back in the mid 40s. I was about 10 but I remember it well.
I have a question about offers we get to buy our mineral acres. Since we have a signed lease with an Oil Properties company isn't that binding for both parties? In other words won't I be breaking the lease if I sell to Permian Basin? Would I have to pay back the lease money? If so how would the value of the lease be determined?
