Hmmm. I wonder if the "L" stands for Lee. I went to college with with
Lee Signalness in the mid-late 60s , and they had several wells on
their ranch way back then. If I am right, this well should be in the
shadow of Blue Butte, which we can see from a long distance looking
west from our farm. The Signalness ranch is right around the Blue
Butte, if I recall correctly what Lee told me back then. Terrific west
river ranch country. The McKenzie county setting is fantastic.
