Brigadier, le Duc Coward de Custaad, CO DG, HM MoFM, to
Lt. Colonel Louis d'Or, 2ic DG

Dear Louis,

I trust this letter finds you well. My thanks for hosting the regimental dinner, I have enclosed payment for the expenses. Should this occur again my friend, please extend the guest list somewhat as a meagre fifty five crowns can hardly be in keeping with DG standards. Also, my congratulations on successfully trouncing that queer-carabinier, I'm sure your talent at "putting the boot in" has increased since your first encounter with the scallywag.

It would seem from what you have informed me that Major le Chevalier d'Andrea would be better suited to some other career, especially since I hear he chopped his arm off in a bizarre, yet innocent, shaving accident as well. My own sources inform me that he has been gambling constantly and that he sometimes even steals. I would not want to see another crown wasted on this alleged "one armed bandit" in the DG. If I have one saying, which I don't think I do, it would be, "I'll have no one arm bandits in my regiment! " Which is an interesting statement to make and I shall therefore make note of to use more in conversation, I suggest you may care to do the same. I also very much like the word "gobbledegook" and would be obliged if you can remind me to make more use of the word in official communications.

Finally, the matter of a regimental adjutant I leave for you to decide. I will appoint any qualified man you choose, since it will have more impact on yourself than me I as I anticipate currently. The military ability of the individual you choose may have a strong impact on the future battles of the DG, so make a wise choice my friend.

Your friend,
Coward

[OOC:
CdC will give 55 crowns to LdO
CdC will appoint any qualified RA that LdO chooses - but warns of choosing a captain with low MA. ]
