Many people flock into secret hidden places to savor secret recipes created by a host chef or just a humble housewife who is willing to share her love and passion for food. The 1st Underground Secret Dining in Jakarta will be on : May 21, 2009 (public holiday) starts at 10 AM until 15 PM at SECRET place with SECRET menu and SECRET host.. We will gather on May 21 2009 to celebrate local food culture with a lady host who will cook a rare home made food - unlikely to find it sold anywhere else, including her best appetizer and dessert treatment to all guests. She invites all of us to her humble and spacious home for a distinguished lunch. But before that, we give an extra BONUS for you all. Nothing beats the best way to discern local food culture by doing a food tour around her neighborhood area. We find amazing wide arrays of food manifesto around her neighborhood, which have been selling the most authentic dishes for decades. We will get you all to taste our food selection on the spot by doing this walking tour. Ready to experience this whole new concept? Total addiction of flavors is one step closer now. HINTS : 1. It is not merely a food tasting, we are going to do a lil bit of food tour within the neighborhood, with lunch at designated place. 2. Location : approximately 10 km from Istana Merdeka (details will be announced on 20 May 2009 by SMS and email, including the meeting point) 3. There are numerous public transportations (taxi, busway, mikrolet, and bus) to go to the venue 4. Secured parking space is available at meeting point 5. Price range : IDR 148.000/adult (not include transportation and parking fee to the venue) Children >= 10 years old will be charged the same. 6. One dish contains pork. However, we have made sure that the other meals are cooked and processed separately from any pork ingredient. So, our muslim friends would enjoy the meals without any worry. 7. The Underground Secret Dining can take place anywhere around Jakarta. Starting from a ghetto complex, apartment basement, art galleries, local house, public park, cemetery, or even a floating deck to watch the sunset near the bay area. We choose the venue that brings uniqueness to the whole theme. We promise not to take you to common restaurants or eateries. What makes it so special is we will NOT tell you the venue and menu in advance. We let your wildest imagination takes control for it for a while, and one day before the event, we will inform you the venue address/location by SMS and email.
