Prem very interesting... I have flashed a few Lynksys routers with DDwrt and Tomato in the past... lots of fun increasing the signal but I have never played with the antennas... is anyone making their own antennas o r especially anyone dealing with outdoor signals of decent distance... I think outdoor wifi is illegal in Thailand isn't it?
A few months back I bought the D-link Dir 300 1wlan 4 lan... so far it is a great machine... cost was 1300 baht at that time I think you can get similar units cheaper... this one is on the DDWRT list at http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Supported_Devices the way I see it... you are buying chips... so why not just match up a decent chip set... as long as it is flashable on the list... no need for big names... Inside they are all pretty much the same as ong as the chips are the same... I guess.. cheers Tim __________________________________ John "Tim" Denny, Ph.D. Consultant - International Development, Education and ICT http://www.avuedigitalservices.com/VR/drjtdenny Join Joomla!
