Hello Marcus.

One of the most easiest things, if you have not yet create a pool with a very 
long expiration time
mine are usually 30 years ;-)

then you can move the media from the actual pool, to this special pool with the 
update command in bconsole.
Once done for more security, update the volume status and make it archive.
bareos will never touch it (except for restores).
