I saw that in the documentation but it didn't seem to work for me. I tried rmmod usb_storage and bcharge -o and bcharge, but nothing seems to get btool to recognize the bberry. lsusb seems to always show productid 6.
What should I try next? Has anyone else gotten the 8830 to work with btool yet? What worked for you? You'll need to run bcharge, either manually, or setup your udev rules to run it automatically. This will change the mode of your Blackberry so it will charge on USB, as well as allow access to the databases. Keep an eye out for the usb_storage module. If it is loaded (see lsmod) you'll need to unload it in order to use btool or the backup GUI. (rmmod usb_storage). - Chris ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
