I want to report a possible bug in barry. It may just be a conflict of
some sort. I have seen many people with the same problem when searching
for solutions. They are mostly on the Ubuntu and OpenSuse forums.

When I plug my Blackberry Storm 2 into the USB it will not show up as a
drive. When looking around I noticed that uninstalling barry seemed to
fix the problem. Since I use barry to backup data on my Fedora desktop,
I didn't want to remove it. After further looking, it seems that bcharge
was the problem.

As a workaround, I just renamed the bcharge command to barrycharge so it
would not run when I plug in my Blackberry. This allows the device to
show up as a drive again and the phone is still charging without bcharge.

I had previously used a Windows installation within VirtualBox as a
workaround, though this was very annoying. If I mounted and then removed
the device in the virtualized Windows, it would mount in Fedora with
bcharge still running.

I am running Fedora 13, though as stated above the bug appears to affect
many distros.
