Ubuntu 12.0.4

Yes, rabbitmq starts at boot and the settings and vhost info match the celery info in settings.py

I think I found the issue. When I launch celeryd manually, I get the following in the [email protected]:

{channel0_error,starting,
                {amqp_error,access_refused,
"AMQPLAIN login refused: user 'guest' - invalid credentials",
                            'connection.start_ok'}}

I think your rabbitmq authentication settings are incorrect.

Turns out a reboot somehow changes things. Where are the settings kept for
rabbitmq? I am not finding them under /etc/rabbitmq
