Actually I take that back about previous versions working.
My other installs also don't have the scanner node working.
In fact I never even added a scanner node.
Reading the docs I see the purpose of adding a scanner node is to get status
info and managed scanner settings. I assume this means that editing mailscanner
settings from the webui won't work unless it's added?

I'm runnning centos 6.4 (x64)

server hostname = mx0 (although I've also tried mx0.domain.tld)

hostfile entry (example):
1.1.1.1 mx0.domain.tld mx0

selinux:
SELINUX=disabled

iptables disabled and not running

install.sh:
baruwadomain=mx0.domain.tld

What can I be doing wrong?

Just to update.
I reinstalled and have the same result.

Using the previous (older) script all is ok.
I'm not saying it's an error with the script, just an observation.

I'm going to do a 3rd install and see how it goes.

Kind regards

Hi Jeremy,

Yes I still have this issue.
If you are referring to the Baruwa URL in install.sh I used a FQDN which
matches the scanner node name.
A hosts file entry has also been added for the servers local IP and FQDN and
hostname

Kind regards

I want to assume its because you didn't use an FQDN in your setup, you used a
hostname.

Hi,
I've just used Jeremy's latest install script for CentOS (6.4 x64)
All went fine except under Status, the Scanner Node Status is Red (FAULTY)
Under each Status heading I have "Error reading ..."
Spamassassin lint (using gui) reports:
"Backend did not return response, try again later"

Mail however flows as expected.
