it would be interesting to know if the problem is to be searched in the GUI
code of BaseX under Mac OS or if it's related to the packaging of BaseXGUI as
.app.
You both run the GUI from the BaseX.app packaging [1], right?
Could you (if time permits) download the .zip [2] distribution and start
BaseXGUI by executing the script located in basex.zip/bin/basexgui?
Do you experience the same problems?
