http://basfa.org/ is updated with the latest schedule.
I was going to bring up whether we want to do BASFA Hugo Recommendation nights (I’ll be in the Bay Area Jan 4 and 11), but I’m unsure we want to do them with our meeting location so unsettled. Kevin From: Basfa [mailto:basfa-boun...@lists.basfa.org] On Behalf Of Ken Patterson Sent: Tuesday, December 22, 2015 6:36 PM To: BASFA Subject: [Basfa] Meeting Location Hunt and Schedule... First of all, I’d like to thank those of you who braved the weather last night for making it to our fist meeting in exile. We have a big task ahead of us, so we can use help from every one on this list. Please be aware of the criteria for a new venue when making a suggestion: Separate Meeting Room Open past 9, or willing to let us stick around as they close. Have day and time regularly available Affordable menu Can handle up to 40 or more, but regularly around 20. Diverse Dietary Menu (if possible) Not another Coco’s or Carrows (owned by the same corp - and we don’t need them to close on us again…) As we decided at this weeks meeting, we will continue to meet at the Round Table on Oakmead Parkway while we search for a new venue. We will meet exclusively at the Round Table through Martin Luther King day, and then alternate weeks with another venue (these have already been confirmed with the reservation desk). Here is the schedule through the end of February: Monday Location Dec 28 Round Table, Sunnyvale Jan 4 Round Table, Sunnyvale Jan 11 Round Table, Sunnyvale Jan 18 Round Table, Sunnyvale Jan 25 Omega Family Restaurant, Milpitas (pending confirmation) Feb 1 Round Table, Sunnyvale Feb 8 TBA Feb 15 Round Table, Sunnyvale Feb 22 TBA Feb 29 Round Table, Sunnyvale Here’s a list of restaurants that we talked about last night: Hick’ry Pit, Campbell : Closes at 9 - familiar, but early close (which is why we left). We will be looking into their meeting spaces while we’re there. We may also make a side trip to the Lyons down the street from there to see if they have anything of use. -Ken Patterson Vice President, BASFA
