was called to order at 20:02 14 people in attendance. Ken read the minutes of meeting #1994, and they were accepted as: Even smaller. Treasurer was not present. The VP welcomed David from Meetup. President was MIA with the Secretary Committees Meetup: Got caught up with posting meeting minutes. Sports: Straw poll in regards to the SF Giants Star Wars Nights: Fri May 26, special SW Baseball with SW Night ticket. The other one is Convolution weekend. The small sample size was not enthusiastic about these. Announcements Bradford: BayCon at San Mateo Marriott Memorial Day Weekend. Lisa: Reminder, Convolution is having a staff meeting Saturday, May 6 at 11am at the San Ramon Marriott. Check out the Facebook page. Ken: Legion of Rassilon this Friday, 7:30pm, IHOP on Stevens Creek at Lawrence and 280. This month they will be showing the first 2 episodes of the new Doctor Who series: "The Pilot" and "Smile". http://legionofrassilon.org DaveC: Shoreline June 24-25 - Id10t Fest (id10tfest.com) Rock, Comedy. Chris Hardwick's putting it on. Adrienne: Hugo ballots were posted today.If you're eligible, you'll get an email. Deadline July 15th. Voting packets should be out next month. Reviews Dave: Saw "Get Out". It's borderline SF. It's creepy. Guess Who's Coming to Dinner mixed with the Stepford Wives. Full Price. Bradford: Life the Movie. Don't see it. Makes Queen of Blood look like Citizen Kane. Acting was good, but even Oliver couldn't save it. Avoid. SVCC: Enjoyed it. Liked the science events. Good panel on anti-bullying by Chase Masterson. Dealers, artists, Trek stars and astronauts. Enjoyed it. Recommends. Lisa: Enjoyable. Saw Woz enjoying the Science panel. STNG reunion panel. Candy: Panel on authors, and Andy Weir just walked in and joined it. Had the best sales at her writer's group table. 9-10K people badged in and out. SETI noon time talks will be starting up again in May. Adrienne: Enjoyed last year's Big Bang Theory writing staff panel. Atheus: Attended later part of the day as a Kiwi Bird. Lots of rest areas as needed. Mo: Watched latest season of Black Mirror. Stories are excellent - one's Hugo nominated! Doesn't think it's too SF. Worth watching. Caught up on Legends. Well written, but typical CW characters. Looking forward to new Stranger Things in October. Bradford auctioned off cookies and things.
