It is significant:

But, I just found out why it does not work at all for me:

(add-hook 'bbdb-notice-hook 'bbdb-auto-notes-hook)
was missing (hits head with large amounts of dead tree essence).

Aaaargh. It was just too obvious. And I missed it. I thank you all for
your help, I apreciate it very much.
