This is in fact what the _software_ does. Unfortunately people
are the problem here (software would be so much easier with out the
users :). There are lots of web pages out there that mention BBDB 2.2
not bbdb file format 5.
My web page happens to mention both but I'm sure that most
people's eyes glaze over when they reach the file-format stuff, the
only thing that sinks in is BBDB 2.2.
