It's still 2.2. The website makes it clear that 2.2 is a
version-in-progress, and specifically makes mention of the file format
modifications. Yes, I realise this causes the above problem! The
pre-database-change version is tagged seperately in CVS. However, I
would say that sync tools shouldn't work on BBDB version, rather they
should examine the database version and work or not work based on that.

With respect to version numbers: I should really have kept
development stuff in 2.1 and then made 2.2 the release version. As it
stands, I've one or two more things I'd like to add in for now, and
then I'll make 2.2 the official release and start development on a 2.3
branch.
