Bugs and suchlike aside, there is another issue here which collides with doing this 'right': Say I have a record for myself, that lists my addresses as follows: Ronan Waide net: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] Now. If I enter "ronan" and hit M-TAB (or your local bbdb-complete-name binding), it is correct under some circumstances to expand it to Ronan Waide <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> and under other circumstances to Ronan Waide <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> The former is obviously primary name completion; the latter is net completion. The confusion arises (all bugs aside) when you have both primary and net completion. Adding AKA completion makes it even worse. I'm unsure how to fix this, short of adding yet another customisation variable dictating whether primary name binds tighter than net address - this is often not the case among hackers; I do recall several years ago lamenting that not only could I remember so-and-so's name, I couldn't even recall his /email address/. I think I'll make sure that it works as expected in the easier cases - primary name/aka completion only and net completion only - and then see how sane I can make the mix of both without adding further options. My plans on getting a release out by last weekend were somewhat interrupted by some visiting friends, and it looks like this weekend will be the same, so apologies on that front! Cheers, Waider. -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] / Yes, it /is/ very personal of me. "THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH GOOD SYSTEM ADMINISTRATORS.
