Hrm.  I did the install from CVS Gnus without changing any location
settings.

How might I cause CVS Gnus to install to these locations directly?

Mmm.  There are enough XEmacs users of CVS Gnus, I would have thought,
that this problem would have already come up and have been fixed in
the source.  Whee.
