It's not quite clear to me how the emacs-based frontend for notmuch works. If it is based on some other emacs mail user agents (rmail, gnus, message mode, etc.), then notmuch should work with the BBDB interface of these MUAs. Otherwise, it will be necessary to add such an interface (assuming you want to use BBDB 3).
