"...visit a new sender" means what? You are reading mail with something like Gnus or Rmail, then you automatically get a record for the sender? The record existed previously in BBDB, or it gets created? Unless you call bbdb-mua-auto-update-init with some args in your init file, all this should not happen. What is your configuration of BBDB?
