you could always use more ( or less ) in the terminal.

only offering this because i don't know how to turn this feature off.
And this actually reminds me of a similar issue I have which is when I
drop a quicktime wrapper file on bbedit it opens it as a quicktime
"movie" even though I have Quicktime Translation turned off in the
Preferences. it seems like it used to brute force whatever I dropped on
it. Any ideas?
