I have to admit that you seem to have hit on something that's new to
me. Can you describe in more detail what you're doing? Aside from
WYSIWYG editing, I'm having a hard time imagining what sort of style
you'd be missing in BBEdit versus another program.
I boldface start tags but not end tags.
I boldface and/or color SUBstrings to mark, for example, parts of a
URL or img alt/width attributes which vary from page to page so they
act as reminders to me.
I underline linked text.
I sometimes color entities or NCRs.
I sometimes make larger bold fonts for headings.
In short, styled text provides hide-saving and eye-saving
development/maintenance aids without which I would be lost and
irritable.
Of course I would also be lost without BBEdit; like I said, I just
use them for different things.
BTW, Tex-Edit Plus now supports GREP search/replace. :-)
