Coming from Dreamweaver, I'm finding it hard to understand what BBEdit's Web Site Preferences does. To me, if you define a web site in the Prefs dialog box, there should be an easy way to access your list of sites from within BBEdit.
For me, using the web site functions in BBEdit requires the use of the 3 Applescripts included in the Websites folder of the script menu. They let you change the default website and open both the website root folder and the includes/templates folder. I've never used Dreamweaver so maybe I don't know what I'm missing, but the web sites in BBEdit to me are merely specified directories that hold my websites. I get to specify a separate directory for includes/templates. I'm not sure quite what its missing... It's great for using the Update site functions and not have to worry about which files in which directories get updated. It's also convenient to design some templates and use them when creating new html files. -- ------------------------------------------------------------------ Have a feature request?
