Sound really interesting. As a complete novice to SVN on Mac
where would you recommend I start?
I would read the "red book" and the documentation available at
<http://subversion.tigris.org/>
I also have written a short mini tutorial for my colleagues
<http://www.mostrom.pp.se/subversiontutorial> (usuage, not install)
Hate to ask, but does it have a GUI or is it Terminal time?
You can do it both ways, subversion in itself has no GUI but
there are many applications that provide a GUI to subversion.
Personally I use either the command line or the built-in
commands of applications like BBEdit.
Also, is it possible to run the SVN server on one of your workstations?
Yes, although I use a linux server.
