What about sftp?
and now use WebDAV instead. You might consider that...
I've got a million (well, not quite a million) questions about WebDAV:
1. How do you integrate it with BBEdit (or any other editor)? What
clients "do" WebDAV? Are they AppleScriptable?
2. What is the protocol? If it's https, is it an Apache plugin on the
server, and is upload limited to Web directories?
3. Does it preserve file mod dates? (FTP doesn't, which I dislike about FTP).
4. Does it handle folders as well? Preserve folder mod dates?
5. How does it deal with resource forks? Say I've got a text file
that has a resource fork -- will it just upload the data fork like
FTP or will it try to convert the file?
