Well - I don't 'HATE' the "new way", I simply turned it OFF. I have some jobs to be done in rather short time, and I don't want to spend time in learning new keyboard-shortcuts right now. maybe later. In the meantime I am still using the "old style modal find" - and had to accept that it "isn't the same as before": I cannot double-click a word in the replace pattern and see it highlighted !!!! Sometimes I do not see the cursor in this field, cannot select a peace of text (maybe it is selected bit I don't SEE that. So I have to copy the string to and from a new document! ==>> under this circumstances I'd better use textWrangler for Search- and-replace. has anyone else noticed this stragne behaviour (MacOs 10.4.11) ??
