So the option key toggles single-click (in the left margin) line
selection -- that sounds right, but...
But now it also jumps the line selection to the next identical
line, with or without the single-click preference enabled. You
might not notice this if you click on a line of code, because it
might not match any other line. But I get the "not found" beep
when there's no line to jump to. (v 9.1.1)
