I'm not really clear what you're trying to do and what's not
working. BBEdit can open folders/directories as (temporary)
project windows. And there are heaps of ways to get those open.
- drag folder in Finder to BBEdit
- terminal command: bbedit path/to/dir
- BBEdit: File->Open
- BBEdit: File->Open Selection
I'm sure the list goes on. I can't tell from your explanation
which might work best for you. The two I use most often are the
bbedit command in Terminal, and the File -> Open Selection command.
