To open a finder window to the current directory, I command-click on
the file title. If I then want to do something there in Terminal, I
call up the free app ">cd..to" with LaunchBar.
Clicking the document (proxy) icon in the toolbar will do the
same thing (without needing the keyboard). Dragging that icon to
another folder in the Finder is also a quick way to move/copy
the file.
