Hello all, Regarding "Replace to End".
I always thought that if Wrap Around was not selected in the Find dialog, BBEdit would search and replace just to the end of the document. Not so. As I understand it (from an authority), I have to open a Find dialog box, enter the Find and Replace strings, then leave the dialog box and return to the document. From there I select Replace to End from the Search menu (or use its keyboard shortcut). There is no Replace to End option in the dialog boxes themselves. And using the modal Find dialog makes this even more difficult. If you enter the Find and Replace strings there, then close the box, they are not necessarily remembered. You have to do at least one Find Next, then close the dialog, then Replace to End. With the non-modal Find dialog it is easier. You just enter the strings, then bring the document to the front, then Replace to End. Am I missing something? This seems very clunky to me. Has anyone has found an easier way to Find and Replace to End? Thanks, Bull -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the "BBEdit Talk" discussion group on Google Groups.
