As of version 10, BBEdit has begun changing my find-and-replaces under
certain circumstances. (Same in 10.0.01.) It's an incredibly
frustrating experience, not least because it's different than what
BBEdit has done for more than a decade.

Here's what happens:

I have two documents, A and B. I want to search for a string in A and
replace it with a string from B.

Both documents are open and side by side.

I go to B, I highlight the string I want to replace with, copy it, and
then hit command-F to bring up the Find window. I paste the string
copied from B into the "Replace" field of the Find window.

Then I go to document A, I copy the string I want to find for
replacing, and then click on the Find window in order to paste it into
the "Find" field.

At the moment I click in the "Find" window, what I have already pasted
in the "Replace" field disappears, reverting to what was last searched
for.

This is 100% duplicable. Every time. All the time. Regardless of what
I do.

What is happening here? I have scoured the prefs and the user manual
to no avail. I cannot for the life of me tell why this is happening.

The only solution is to type out the strings, no matter how long and
complicated. How utterly frustrating.

Running Mac OS X 10.7.1, 4GB RAM, lots of free drive space.
