Thank you very much for your response. It wasn’t exactly the answer I was 
looking for, but it most definitely helps, because everything is in fact listed 
in alphabetical order in the window. Plus, the narrow window stays open on my 
desktop, unless I decide to close it. I use the aforementioned open documents 
throughout the day, so your suggestion definitely saves me some time.

Yes, when I submitted my question, I too already suspected that document 
ordering in the Dock menu is something which is controlled by the Mac OS, and 
not by BBEdit. It would be nice though to receive an official response from 
Rich or Patrick. :)
