Unless you are getting the DMA error, choosing PIO will not help. If you are
getting that error, it will say so in the dmesg output. In addition, it will
tell you exactly what to do. Note: In the 2.6.34 code, the interface will
automatically switch to PIO mode when a fatal DMA error occurs.
