These w32codecs are used by mplayer and also by xine library. You can download from here. http://www3.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/codecs/ I grabbed the all-20061022.tar.bz2. Just saw few RPMs too. Most of the formats like wmv, asf and etc now plays after I installed them. Have not found anything not playing. Check the docs please.
