My Sunday newspaper (The Observer, UK) in a report on Sara Jane Olsen, the seemingly respectable Minnesota housewife currently on a murder charge relating to her youthful membership of the Symbionese Liberation Army, refers to her participation in the Food Conspiracy in the 1970s which was, she said, "an umbrella group of neighbourhood food-buying clubs that brought organic food from rural farms and local distributors".
Does anyone know more about this group - was it widespread and did it knowingly include BD produce, or did she just invent it ?
