Since Tony just mentioned cesium, I am hoping that he or perhaps another
expert known to someone on this list can help with an important
question. I am trying to find out whether the following figures
representing a soil sample taken from a public park give cause for
alarm:

Ce-137 (Cesium 137): 990 plus or minus 60 pCi/Kg (picocuries per
kilogram?)

Other stats from same time and same element:

35 plus or minus 8 @ University location - where is not specified
71 " " 35 SEFOR perimeter
530 " " 60 SEFOR field and creek bed

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Deborah
