I'm using 2 bathtubs for vermiculture, so i'll get several more for root
storage. My main concern would be that their solid surround would not allow
sufficient breathing. But with sand/rock at the base, strawbales all round
the outside, and a hi density foam-on-wood cover, elevated a touch, it
should work.
For sheer volume with the swedes though, i think the earth-straw mound is
more effective, but not as easily accessible.
