Under codebase tag its actually the DLL name which should be specified and not the path containing the DLL. e.g.: <codeBase version="1.0.0.0" href="file://H:\AIAssy\AISDB.Dll" /> 2. AISDB should have a strong name. The public key token of this strong name should appear in the assemblyIdentity element. The codebase element should match the desired version of AISDB exactly. 3. AISDB should be on a public share on the machine where it exists. In this case, we are assuming that this public share is mapped to drive H: on the client machine.
