in datagrid put this,
OnItemCommand="datagrid_Command"
<asp:ButtonColumn ButtonType=LinkButton DataTextField="empname" HeaderText="Employee
Name"></asp:ButtonColumn>
In code behind :
public void datagrid_Command(Object sender, DataGridCommandEventArgs e)
{
//put your id in idCell variable
TableCell idCell = e.Item.Cells[0];
string idStr = idCell.Text;
Response.Redirect("EmployeeDetails.aspx?id=" + idStr);
}
