Hi kirancobi,

U can format date in the SQL Server procedure itself using Convert function. Check 
that.

If u are storing only date then go for smalldatetime field, y r u using datetime field 
there.

If you don't want to do in SQL Server stored procedure. Check with DataFormatString 
property in the datagrid and add ur custom format to it.
