We'll hold our December meeting on Tuesday the 18th starting at 6pm
(directions below).

* 6pm Beginner's Track: The Art of Reading Code - Ryan Cook
* 6:30 Food/Social
* 7:15 Ruby 2.0 Preview - Nick Howard
* 8:00 Building a stronger community with SMS apps - Joanne Cheng
* 8:20 Lesson Learned: Resque/Redis - Eoin Coffey

Ryan Cook will lead with a beginner's track session on the art of
reading code. This fundamental skill is one newer programmers may not
think much about but will get great mileage from the tips Ryan will
share. This part of the meeting is intended for beginners. The rest
of group shows up later when the food is available.

Our food and beverages will arrive at 6:30 and the rest of the group
is welcome to join us for some social time before we kick off the
regular presentations.

Nick Howard will give a preview of the new features of Ruby 2.0. We
have two shorter session after Nick. Joanne Cheng will follow with a
walk-through of a simple SMS app she put together to help find polling
locations for November's election. Finally, Eoin Coffey will present
some lessons learned from his experiences working with Resque and
Redis.
