Tomorrow is Boulder Ruby's December meeting at Pivotal Labs (directions below).
* 6pm Beginner's Track: The Art of Reading Code - Ryan Cook * 6:30 Food/Social * 7:15 Ruby 2.0 Preview - Nick Howard * 8:00 Building a stronger community with SMS apps - Joanne Cheng * 8:20 Lesson Learned: Resque/Redis - Eoin Coffey Ryan Cook will lead with a beginner's track session on the art of reading code. This fundamental skill is one newer programmers may not think much about but will get great mileage from the tips Ryan will share. This part of the meeting is intended for beginners. The rest of group shows up later when the food is available. Our food and beverages will arrive at 6:30 and the rest of the group is welcome to join us for some social time before we kick off the regular presentations. Nick Howard will give a preview of the new features of Ruby 2.0. We have two shorter session after Nick. Joanne Cheng will follow with a walk-through of a simple SMS app she put together to help find polling locations for November's election.
