Hey Thomas, I have been doing a one-on-one remote mentorship with a new Ruby developer. I basically worked around his schedule and I recorded screencasts, pair-programmed, went through a couple books, and organized some of my own exercises and projects. I basically worked on a no commitment basis as much as 5-6 hours a week, and even took some weeks off based on scheduling. I would be willing to meet in person, my previous student was in CA so that's why we stayed remote, nevertheless it still worked out great and I would be happy to do it again.
Give her my contact info if it seems interesting to her. I can connect her with my previous student to get another perspective. thanks! 303-801-7286 [email protected] -- Bobby Wilson On Sunday, January 6, 2013 at 9:42 AM, Thomas Henderson - NOAA Affiliate wrote: > > Gentle Rubyists, > > I have a colleague who is interested in learning Ruby/Rails and is > considering online or local (Denver/Boulder) training.
