There seems to be some confusion with the path separators here.  I
would have expected
  .be\9a57fab4-74c0-42b9-be5a-6c5332438682\settings
on Windows.  Perhaps this is the source of the confusion, but I don't
have time to check now.  I'll be back on Monday, and I'll look then if
noone else has figured it out.

.be/*/settings (Windows: .be\*\settings) should be a file, not a directory.
