Yes, it seems to be a new lightweight X-Window replacement using QPA in Qt 5. Similar to the good old Qt 4 internal lightweight QWS. I see Debian has some Wayland packages by default but these probably don't work with the setup you have done? Sorry for my ignorance, but are you actually installing the TI Graphics SDK on top of Robert's Debian?
