I'm still waiting for rpmsg / remoteproc to exit the experimental stage. I do however have a project that *could* use the PRU's in either configuration. A 1200 baud UART device that *may* need to be bit banged, if I can't get uart4 sending 2-3 bytes per stop / start bit sets.
